West Point Virginia Weather
A warm front will move north from the Gulf of Mexico, while a cold front will stretch south along the Appalachian Ridge. This signal signals that a low pressure system will form behind the front in the Deep South, bringing a front into the next area.
Conditions are expected to remain mostly seasonal and little cold advection, so don't expect too much of a change in weather for West Point and the rest of West Virginia. Friday's high pressure sets in and the skies begin to strengthen the clouds as the cold puddle moves west, but temperatures remain seasonal. Winds turn west behind the front and will rise above the threshold in the early hours of Saturday. On Saturday, clouds with moderate rainfall are expected in the south of the country. Winds will turn west on Sunday and reach near or above THC into the evening hours.
A secondary area of cold defences will occur as winds rise to 20kt, but there will likely be some sleet snowflakes mixed with rain in areas seeing pcpn. A high-level low is expected Saturday, and a light PoP (12-15z) will spread from the south to West Virginia, while it will extend over the eastern half of the state. As the showers occur, shaggy disease will spread westward into central and eastern parts of West Point and the rest of WV. On Sunday, a secondary high pressure system moves in and a cold front of the upper level moves eastward, with winds above 20 mph.
