This week, Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group announced the opening of a special spine center to improve the quality of life for patients with back pain. In December, we announced our partnership with West Point Virginia Medical Center (WVMC) to build our new spine center.
More than 500 TSPMG physicians work exclusively with the Kaiser Foundation's health plan to provide care to patients with back pain, spinal cord injury, and other chronic conditions. TPMG doctors donate their time to Saturday surgical sessions, where volunteer teams look after 5-15 patients. Dr. Lisa R. Cash also works with medical groups, including the Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group (Pc). T PMG comprises more than 1,000 physicians, nurses, pharmacists, dentists and medical technicians serving patients in Hampton Roads and Southeast Virginia who require back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee and spine care.
Certified chiropractors and orthopaedic surgeons offer counseling services to other qualified physicians seeking help and care for their patients. Patients can walk directly to the clinic or call the phone number below for more information.
For a complete list of services, please visit our service page or simply book an appointment or call our West Point office. Please request information about Medicare, information, advice or payments from Dr. Lisa R. Cash.

Urgent care is a great option for medical needs that are outside of waiting for an appointment with a doctor. If you need to see a doctor immediately, but your medical needs do not require a visit to the emergency room, you will receive our attention.

As a professor specializing in the management of health-care operations, I believe that there are important lessons for other states and the rest of the vaccine rollout. The first important point is that West Virginia has withdrawn from a federal partnership program that relied on large pharmacy chains CVS and Walgreens to deliver vaccines to nursing homes. Under a contract with the US Department of Health and Human Services, CPS, or Walgreens, was given the right to vaccinate 99% of US nursing homes registered with the programme. West Virginia chose to mobilize independent and chain pharmacies alike, rather than simply relying on "CVS" and "Betting" on them.
While a lack of federal leadership was cited as the reason for the vaccine's slow rollout, West Virginia managed to vaccinate nursing homes because it could have been more nimble without the federal program. When it became the first state to finish by December 30, other states were not far behind.
The average waiting time for a visit to the TPMG gastroenterology department to perform a patient check-up was 36 minutes. The average wait for a doctor's visit at West Point Medical Center was 21 minutes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The average wait for a physician at Tpmg Gastrosciences to evaluate patients is 21 hours and 30 minutes for West Virginia.
